Privacy policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Frumora is a brand of R-Tek Industries Inc. ("Frumora", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect through frumora.ca and our smoothie vending machines, and how we use and protect it. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

  • Enquiry form: your name, email, phone number, organization, machine type of interest and message.
  • Emails and calls: whatever you choose to share when you contact us.
  • Machine purchases: the purchase amount, time, location and payment approval. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We don't receive or store your full card number.
  • Website visits: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and pages visited. Our website host, Shopify, collects this through cookies to run and secure the site and to measure traffic.

How we use it

  • To reply to enquiries and to discuss hosting or buying a machine.
  • To handle refunds and machine issues.
  • To run, secure and improve our website and machines.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We don't sell your personal information. We only send marketing emails if you've asked for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • Shopify (website and form hosting)
  • Our payment processor (machine payments)
  • Google (maps on our website)
  • Email and IT providers

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible under local law. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are needed to make it work, plus analytics cookies to understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some features may not.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and to manage any business relationship that follows. We keep transaction records for as long as tax law requires, which is usually six years. After that, we delete the information or make it anonymous.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls and secure, reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. You can also withdraw consent to optional uses, such as marketing. Contact our Privacy Officer and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).

Children

Our website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them through it.
